hope you all had a great weekend!

I managed to re-coup my lost packages that were sent to my old address!! YeeHaa ... I was so annoyed at myself for that mess up. anyhoo - one of the items was some 'crack heal' magic potion .... it seems to be working nice so far.

**sigh** I have shopped and shopped ... till I am dropping!! got The Pinks out yesterday to begin the load up. I still have a bit of shopping for Dawta - if someone would PLEASE get me her current size!!! I keep begging him to measure her, or have Jacynth measure her, or the cousins up in the country ... SOMEONE!!

he thinks I should still just be able to buy according to her age ... **sigh** ... MEN!!

I have some items for him being shipped to me ~ at my current address ~ ~ so I have to cram all that in yet.

it has been a few years since I have done a big shop for either of them ... $$

excitement for real!!

a few years back I found a bunch of men's 'Urban Stylee' shorts for him. he was set for a while.

well - the past few years, I have NOT found any I can afford. TJMaxx has not had any; and Target's offering ...UGH - they are so short and close cropped ... NOTHING he would wear.

so, I tried web sites ... I found some Phat Farm .... 'wholesale' ... the price was right per pair, BUT - I would have to buy an entire lot of them!!

well - I stumbled upon a DrJays.com web site ... and scored!! pairs for $18.00 and under ... he is getting those ~ same style / different colors!! THANK GOD he does not care for 'labels' ... they just need to be 'the look' ~

I can not even believe the price for some of those shorts / clothes ... $195.00 for a pair of shorts?? YIKES ~

If de tings nah fit perfectly she can grow into them or you can carry them on down to tailor to fix up for her figure. and that is TOO FUNNY bout DrJjays - i was just tryna find some crop capris for myself and could not locate them anywhere - i also happened to stumble pon DrJays who had the perfect pair, and for a very reasonable price as well - HAHAHA!!!

haha Roots, yes it surely does. i was in Tobago (and a lil bit in Trinidad also) - and i did realize i was comparing and tried to stop it and just enjoy where i was for 'what it is'. At first i thought i was just not giving it a fair chance, so i consciously stopped the comparing and kept an open mind for its' own uniqueness. but after day 10 when it never got any better i gave up and realized Tobago just cannot cut it as a beach destination, whether or not i compare to negril or just tried to enjoy it for itself. so many beaches, but most just scenic overlooks, only 3-4 that can be swum in, and of those, only one that was not full of rocks and seaweed. the place is surely pretty, but a tease as far as real actual swimming goes. it was a continual exercise in frustration. And worse, instant coffee everywhere (gak), and local trini food seems to be obsolete, the place was chock fulla american-style junk food. and that was really too bad cause the food is one of the things i do actually enjoy about TnT.

WooHoo for DrJays!!!

I have to be able to find something suitable for her ... it has been 2 years since I have brought for her; and last November he had some friends carry for her ~ but they had not seen her in a long time ... they did not have much she was able to use. She has grown so ... but I need to come close!!

her feet too ... I brought some cute shoes last year thinking she could use ... was WAY OFF ... so a next cousin got all those.

prezackly. am not sorry i went, cause have been curious and wanting to go to Tobago for years now, but it's nowhere near what ppl say about it (have heard it called the 'negril of TnT', which is just not so) and i will not be going back.

The other day my grandson told his mom that the milk they serve at school is goat milk. She said how did he know that and he said that it says it on the carton. I'm just sitting here watching my Iditarod insider videos and there are several of Newton. I'm posting the ones made public in the Sports forum, but the other ones I can't share. Anyway, Newton is holding his own and is staying in the middle of the pack. He is determined to finish the race. Yesterday they went over the highest terrain in all of Alaska, through FEET of fresh new fallen snow. It was -20F below zero and the teams had to break trail to get through.
